I don't like my freshly ground pepper to seem like the regular ground that you buy in cans and packages. If I buy a pepper mill for topping my food I want it to be coarse where it seems like it's freshly ground. If you want finely ground pepper than this is the one to buy. If you are like me than you should buy the store pepper mills- McCormick sold in supermarkets that already have the peppercorns inside and you just refill.

Yes, it's a pepper mill, but I love it! I bought it to replace one I had gotten for my mother a while back that has always sucked. It never ground the pepper right and was difficult to refill. This lovely new mill is not only cute but super easy to use. The pepper comes out perfectly. Appreciated the heads up on another review that it does not come boxed, in case you intend to give it as a gift. But that does not matter, I'm getting one for myself now!
